Coffee and Chocolate combined? Need we say more?

The base is studded with chocolate chunks and topped with crunchy toffee streusel. It’s the taste and texture!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2/3 cup Plain flour
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 180g butter melted and cooled
  • 6 egg whites, lightly beaten
  • 2Tbs instant coffee granules, dissolved in 1Tbs hot water
  • 100g good quality dark chocolate, finely chopped

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C/356°F for 15 minutes.

Step 2

In a Silicone Mixing Bowl, combine sugar, flour, almonds, butter & egg whites. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Step 3

Pour dissolved coffee into the mixture and mix well.

Step 4

Spoon the mixture evenly into a

12-cup muffin tray and top each friand with chopped chocolate.

Step 5

Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked.

Step 6

Remove from oven and let cool in pan.
