Homemade Burger

The secret to this Homemade Burger is the uber-garlicky aioli.

Ingredients

  • 6 burger patties, room temperature
  • 6 sourdough buns
  • 2 Tbs quality mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 avocado mashed with a fork
  • 1 handful of salad leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 6 slices of cheese

Step 1

Heat griddle pan over medium.

Step 2

Place patties in the pan, ensuring they are not touching.

Step 3

Stir garlic through the mayonnaise.

Step 4

Turn patties after 3 minutes. Place cheese slices on top of each pattie.

Step 5

Cut buns in half and toast them.

Step 6

Spread avocado over each toasted bun base. Add the salad leaves, then tomato slices. Spread aioli over the top of each bun.

Step 7

When patties are cooked through (about 3 minutes), place each pattie on the bun base. Add the top of the burger. Enjoy!

Chef’s Tips

This is also delicious with turkey or lamb patties. For an extra kick, before cooking, fold your favourite spice blend through the patties and re-form them into rounds.
