Chris Oldman –
I have a standard Brita jug which I use every day, so didn’t have any need for the inbuilt filter. The capacity of the jug is much greater without the filter and I was able to use the filter provided in my regular jug, so… win-win! The lid button mechanism seems sturdy and should last a lot longer than the Sunbeam kettle I had, which didn’t even make it through a year of use.It was a reasonable price, runs really quietly, looks nice and clean, and pours really well… What more do you want!?? A+++The blue light when it’s boiling is also a nice touch.

Nice and quiet. Quick to boil. Looks nice too.Only drawback (hence the loss of a star) is there is no option to use it without the water filter. While you can use it by simply removing the filter, the instruction manual actually says you shouldn’t as boiling water can escape if boiling when full. this could so easily have been resolved with a simple water filter/guard at the spout of the kettle that you see in most kettles these days. Why they’ve chosen to limit this kettle in such a way makes me wonder how much of a kick-back they’re getting from Britta (the filter manufacturer) for each unit sold.

Jug up to usual R/Hobb’s expectation. Very good

I waited 4 months before writting this review in case there were any issues, and happy to say, this kettle has worked perfectly, and we love it! It boils the water quickly and quietly, and we love the look of it, and the blue light. I looked at a lot of kettles after our last one died, and we’re so happy we settled on this one.

I did remove filter as we have no need. But, boils quickly, great visibility through glass in any position.
Lauriane –
I removed the filter as it was taking a long time to fill the Kettle and lots of filling it/waiting/ filling it/waiting… who has time for that? With the filter removed it works a amazingly well and fills quite a good amount of water. So I def recommend it

If you are after a kettle to make a lot of people a cuppa, this kettle is not for you….It actually only boils 1-2 cups of water at a time, because of the inbuilt filter…After getting over the shock, I have a 2 litre jug handy to the kettle.I also appreciate the fact that I only want a cup of tea for me, and I am not boiling 1.75 litres at a time, thus actually saving energy.I had also forgotten just how vile tap water is here…So I really appreciate my kettle. I also enjoy the boil lights. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
