Mix and Bake Moist Apple Cake

When is a saucepan, not a Saucepan ! When it's a cake pan! Make muffins in your muffin tray, or a full size cake in your 3.5t Brazier with this delicious Mix and Bake Moist Apple Cake. Quick, easy, delicious and a favourite with kids of all ages.

Ingredients
  

  • 125 g Butter (melted)
  • 120 g Caster sugar
  • 125 g Self raising Flour
  • 2 Eggs (large)
  • 4 Medium apples (peeled, cored and diced)
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoons cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in 3.5lt Brazier.
  3. While butter is melting peel and dice apples.
  4. Add all other ingredients into 3.5lt Brazier.
  5. Mix lightly until just combined.
  6. Clean sides of Brazier with Spatula Spoon.
  7. Put into preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until lightly golden on top and springs back to the touch.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely in Brazier.
  9. Side out of Brazier and upturn onto serving plate. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

 Can be made in the 12 cup Flexibake Silicone muffin tray - cook for 20 minutes. * Make a larger cake in the 28cm Saute pan - double the recipe and bake for 35 minutes. * Delicious on its own ( especially while it's still warm) or served with cream, ice cream, or custard.
