Moist Chocolate Cake (Boiled)
Moist Chocolate Cake. I Love the fact there isn’t any creaming butter and sugar, you put it all in the pot to combine ingredients and then put it in the oven, if you want to make an extra big cake double the recipe and use the Saute’ pan
Ingredients
- 250ml Water
- 1-1/2 cups Caster sugar
- 1/4 Cup cocoa powder
- 2 Egg, lightly beaten
- 1-1/2 Cups Self-raising Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup cream
- 250 grams Chocolate, preferably dark. Chopped
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 degrees In 2ltr Saucepan place Water, Sugar, Cocoa, and Bicarb and bring to boil
Step 2
allow to cool slightly
Step 3
add eggs, and mix thoroughly
Step 4
add flour, vanilla and combine
Step 5
Pour into your Siicon round cake pan and cook for approx 35-40 minutes, once cooked leave in pan for 5 minutes, then turn onto cooling racks, once cool ice with your favourite icing
Step 6
Ganache Icing add cream and chocolate into the pot and melt all together, once this is done, pour over the cake ENJOY
Chef’s Tips
Sometimes when making this I add a ripe banana to make a choc banana cake or I omit the cocoa and add a couple of bananas to make it a complete Banana Cake … this is so easy and YUMMO
