What I needed when I needed it
I bought this item because I just started making my first batch of Mead-Honey Wine. The item came quickly and packaged for protection so nothing was broken. Everything advertised came with the item. It works as advertised. I was able to take my original specific gravity reading so when my mead has stopped the fermentation process I can take the final specific gravity ready and then calculate the alcohol by volume. Plastic Graduated Cylinder is hard to read through
Two things – the plastic graduated cylinder is a bit cloudy, making it difficult to read the hydrometer through. Secondly the cylinder is wide and holds 250ml, which is a lot when you’re only brewing ~10 liter test batch. A thinner cylinder which is a better fit for the hydrometer would reduce waste and be much appreciated.
