The Kit is Well Designed
I haven’t started making the beer, but because it is so well documented, and includes everything you need to succeed, I am confident when set up for brewing, it will work. Of course, it will depend on what I do, which means to follow the excellent instructions exactly, and I will. That said, I will have to update the review on my progress. One problem I see is bottling. It didn’t include bottles, but that wasn’t part of the kit. Before I start, I will need to get bottles and bottle caps. I am considering using used beer bottles, but they will need sanitizing.

Not the easiest system for a novice
I bought this as my first attempt at home brewing because of the price and while it came with all the needed parts, it really wasn’t the most user friendly kit for a beginner. There are other, albeit more expensive, kits out there from professional home brew companies that look much easier to use and I plan to try them at some point. This kit was a good way to learn what your own preferences are and if you actually like home brewing or not, but not something I’d use again.

Good beer.
Makes a good galon of beer. Not too bitter, not too sweet. Could come with carbonation drops but that is pretty much my only gripe. Also the air lock is made of thin plastic that will break if you are not careful when removing it from the stopper.

Le kit est de bonne qualité mais :- La levure est-elle vraiment faite pour du cidre ?- Le manuel n’est pas en français. J’ai galéré.Après avoir centrifugé les pommes de mon jardin pour en extraire le jus jais suivi les instructions du manuel. Le résultat n’est pas ouf. La levure est-elle vraiment adaptée ? Il y a des dépôts dans le cidre (en bas, en haut et 1 peu en suspension. Bref le cidre n’est pas transparent et pas très bon (comme de la bière artisanale dégueulasse 😅)Je cherche un maître du cidre qui pourrait me guider mais je n’en trouve pas.

I am new to home brewing and began with this kit. It has everything you need to make hard cider. But is it worth it?Pros:Has almosy everything you need for home brewing. The only thing missing is a hydrometer. With this kit, you are guessing at the final ABV, which with the instructions probably leaves you at a 5-6% ABV cider.Cons:You could buy materials to make your own cider for much cheaper, and learn more in the process.Summary:Great beginner kit.If you plan on seriously making hard cider, watch some YouTube videos and buy the stuff separate.
