    WORKS GREAT AS WINE FERMENTING JUGS
    Im almost scared to say anything. My last review was deemed inappropriate.I had typed out this super long and amazing review. NOTHING WRONG WITH MY REVIEW.Someone please tell me why I can get stuff in their program and leave a review and its all good, but when i buy something out of pocket, 9 out of 10 times my reviews are shut down?HEY AMAZON FIX YOUR SITE.I love these glass jars.They arrive hazy. I cleaned them with a little sanitizer and they shined right up nice and clear.Literally, these are cheaper than used ones on that market (can I say) place site.5 stars. Tell amazon to stop messing up peoples’ reviews. I paid money for this. They had no right to pull my review.

    Perfect for first making mead!
    Solid glass carboys, easy to fill, and easy to pickup. The bungs and airlocks held with no issues during initial fermentation. A bit hard to clean, so might just use them for first racking and aging moving forward.

    Nice jugs
    I’ve been using these mostly for secondary fermentation of mead and cider. There’s not much that you could do in making a jug to make that better or worse, but these are definitely a good value for getting them delivered to your doorstep. The airlock stopper can be hard to keep stuck into the jug if you try and put it in while things are wet, but after drying both the jug’s neck and the stopper it has worked well. They’re nice and sturdy; compared to an empty Carlo Rossi jug, these are clearly much thicker and better quality. I’ve pasteurized fresh pressed apple juice in them by putting a full bottle in a stock pot filled with boiling water (if you do this, make sure you have a trivet or something to raise the bottle off the bottom of the pot). Was able to get the juice up to temperature and then cap it with the included non-airlock caps. The neck of these jugs is also wide enough to fit the oak cubes that North Mountain Supply sells, so you can age your ferments on oak quite easily.

    Great Carboy
    I am writing this review after using one carboy for about 2 weeks as a secondary fermenter. The glass jugs came well packed without any damage to anything. The carboys are very nice. The only things that I have a problem with is the bung and the two piece airlocks. If the bung and the carboy rim are not perfectly dry you can push the bung completely into the opening and have to dig it back out. As for the airlocks I will be replacing them shortly as they need to be filled with fluid almost daily, none of the three piece airlocks I use have this problem. These two issues are the reason for the 4/5 stars rating. But once again I’m very happen with the carboys and the price paid.

    Product is of great quality and the team at North Mountain is A+
    Order arrived complete and as expected 4 glass carboys which in this particular order came with accessories such as bungs and airlocks. One item of the lot had a defect I was uncomfortable with and North Mountain reached out in short order (same week) and offered to ship a replacement vessel. This is as five star as an experience gets as a new winemaker. North Mountain offers good value equipment and a valid warranty and so my future purchases in this hobby will be with them. Knowing items are under warranty yields brand loyalty with me as the glass they source and ship is covered. There are a lot of vendors for items in this hobby, North Mountain offers fine equipment and they actually stand by their warranty as other reviews had indicated. These guys are worth the money
