Mango Chutney
Mango Chutney
This is an easy recipe and it tastes sensational. This chutney contains ginger, mustard seeds and garlic. It is also spiced with red chilli pepper flakes.
Ingredients
- 5 medium-large mangoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled cut into 1cm cubes
- 1 red onion cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup sultanas
- 2 cup Brown sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/4 cup preserved ginger
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/8 tsp Chilli powder
- 2 tsp Salt
Step 1
with a chopping blade in, load onion and garlic. Speed 8, 10 seconds
Step 2
change to stir assist
Step 3
add all other ingredients and select Stew P2
Step 4
allow hot mix to settle for 2 – 3 minutes before decanting into sterilised jars.
Step 5
makes about 2 litres
Chef’s Tips
for more kick add more chilli powder or chilli flakes if you like. I am sure that fresh chilli could be used but not being a chilli lover can’t guarantee the results
