This pie is a traditional two-crust baked with thick and juicy strawberry filling. You can substitute any fresh berries.
Ingredients
- 2 (9-inch) unbaked pie crusts
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 cups fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
Directions
- Pre-heat the oven to a temperature of 425 degrees F (210 degrees C). One crust should be placed in the bottom of an 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Lightly mix strawberries.
- Filling should be poured into the pan lined with pastry and butter bits added. Cover the filling with the top crust, and make slits to allow air to escape. Seal and flute all edges.
- Bake the pie in the oven preheated for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the crust has a slight browning.
